A suggestion
An organization that anyone and everyone should look into is the, "World Rainforest Fund" they are an organization that you can donate to, in order to help them save the rain forests. They are very focused on what they do and do a very large amount of work and save very large rainforests. A link to their website, http://www.worldrainforest.org/ .
Please donate today, you can save many animals and many rainforests.
Help the Rainforests
Rainforests
Rain forest's are in danger. They are at danger of being extinct because we use them for resources, when there are other ways. They have been used for reasons such as wood, agriculture for small and large farms, grazing land for cows, pulp for making paper, road construction, and extraction of minerals and energy. It is sad to see that we have taken down all these rain forests for simple resources.
Why do we cut down the rain forests?
It would not be a problem to cut down rain forests if they weren't environmentally beneficial, but they give us many benefits. Rain forests give us many things essential to the world they give off the most carbon dioxide which is an essential to human breathing. Rain forests provide us with 25% of our medicine that is needed, even some medicine that is beneficial to cancer patients. All of these benefits that we need more than wood for fire, it doesn't make sense why we would cut down the rain forests. On a blog called "The Importance of Rainforests" by Replating the Rainforests, the author states, "More than 20% of the Amazon is already gone." This shows that we have used a lot of resources for things that don't matter and do not take into account the things that we need, that are beneficial.

This is a visual representation to show everyone what has happened to the rain forests and what they are doing. Yes there are a lot of positives for the resources we obtain from the rain forests but they are not as beneficial as the ones found inside of the rain forest. Who in the right mind would think its more important to have fire wood rather than treat people with medicine, or the water that the rain forests recycle. Not trying to offend anyone but the land they cut down for poor people or farmers who are poor is not really important. For some it is their fault they are poor, but also those humans do not have as big as of a benefit as the rain forest does its self. There are a lot more places in the world where we can place these people rather than rain forests. There are many alternatives for these resources. We all can think locally and use resources within our boundaries. Even if it is decided to keep cutting down the rain forests, we could use a lot less.
Animals becoming extinct.
Not only are we making the rain forests extinct, we are also making animals inside of the rain forests extinct. Here is a short list of animals that are close to extinction Golden Lion Tamarin Monkey, Gorilla, Poison dart frog, Manatee, Harpy Eagle, Orangutan, Jaguar, Gray mouse.

This is a Golden Lion Tamarin, these are one of the many animals that are close to extinction. Look at how cute that monkey is, how could humans do that to these animals all for resources that don't matter as much as the rain forest does. Its a paradox honestly. We cut down rain forests for resources we want, but are cutting down the rain forests for resources we need. Not all animals are almost extinct because of us cutting down the rain forests, but almost every single reason is our fault. More reasons why they are almost extinct are low levels of inherent variability, destruction of eco-system, poor dispersion ability, pollution, requirement for large area, hunting and fishing, population being concentrated, exotic species being introduced, global warming, and migration over long distances. As you can see most of this list is our fault as to why these animals are becoming extinct. We make these animals have to migrate over long distances because they have no where to live because humans are taking all of the rain forests, which is their home. We have created more issues than needed all because of something we want rather than need. It is sad to see that it has came down to this.
